5.19 GENERAL STEEL INSTALLATION OF ROOF PANELS
With the first panel run installed and secured, and sidelap sealant applied, the second panel run may be started. Prepare the steel building eave with an inside closure and tape sealant as shown previously. Position the panel so that the overlapping ribs will nest properly. Be sure to check for proper overhang and panel coverage. Stitch the major ribs of the two panels together, and fasten panel to the purlins.
NOTE:
Sweep up all drill shavings from panels at the end of each work period to avoid surface rust and damage to panel finish.
