Spend Less Money (cont. from Fri.)

Posted on Saturday 3 February 2007

In the case of steel building construction, “fast” does not mean sloppy. Indeed, erecting with steel means lowering costs without compromising quality. To illustrate this point, let’s talk about one of the first steps in the building process: laying the foundation. It is strongly recommended that a foundation be used with every building application–even if the building design or location does not require it. Fortunately, the price of a foundation for a steel building will be as little as $4 a sq. ft. (and as much as $8). This can save maintenance costs and other structural problems in the future when compared with conventional construction methods. In other words, lower maintenance costs over the lifetime of the building means that you have a quality foundation supporting a quality building that because it is low-maintenance, is costing you less money due to its high quality constitution.
