An Ohio Company began the innovative technique known as “pre-engineering” where steel beams would be pre-punched, pre-drilled, and pre-welded at the factory. An Oklahoma company would follow in 1927 with their ability to offer low-cost steel buildings for oil exploration in the Midwest. As you can see, more and more businesses were beginning to see the need and benefit of steel buildings.
