Growing Your Business (concl. from Sat.)

As we were saying yesterday, the steel buildings we sell here at General Steel can be custom built to have the look you want. So, you have no need to worry about your business or organization being in a metal building that is just an ugly blight on the community. This is welcome news since your building will likely be around for many decades to come. Moreover, having an attractive building is inviting for people in the community to come into your new building which of course can increase your cash flow. Therefore, in conclusion, if your business has grown to the point that you cannot accommodate the increase in traffic at your current location, then you will likely need to move into a larger facility. In order to receive the most value for your real estate investment, give yourself all the benefits of a steel building. Give us at General Steel a call today for all the information you need to get started. Our number is 1-800-745-2685

Another benefit of steel buildings that businesses will appreciate is that a building’s look can be customized according to your needs. Some business owners may have an out-dated or mere caricature image of a steel building in their minds. They may picture a large, grayish or metallic structure that resembles a giant toaster. In some cases, steel buildings used to look that way. However, the look of steel buildings have dramatically changed and improved over the years. Several distributors of these metal buildings will offer you the choice of rock, brick, stone, stucco, and even glass. Remember, choice means that your business can have the best look possible in order to generate lots of money.

In addition, there is the priceless benefit of having a safe building for your personnel, equipment, and inventory. Since steel does not burn or melt a fire in a steel building can be more quickly and easily contained (sometimes contained to one room). Because of this type of engineering, some insurance companies will offer you discounts (check with your agent for details). Thirdly, the combination of low-maintenance, the absence of damaging agents (such as termites, mold, or mildew), and the resistance to fire make a steel building a structure that will potentially last for many decades to come. For all the aforementioned reasons, the rewards of moving into a steel building will benefit your business, church, or organization for many, many years to come.

Probably more important than the rate at which the building is completed is your primary concern over the quality of building you will receive for your investment. A business or organization that invests in such a structure will appreciate the relatively low amount of maintenance it requires. Besides, saving on maintenance costs, there is the added health benefit of having steel in the framework of your building. As a material, steel is obviously impervious to the damaging effects of termites, mold, and mildew. Since mold and mildew can present serious health problems when inhaled over long periods of time, being able to prevent its build up is optimum.

Now, when I speak of the growth of your business I am not only talking about a capital enterprise. There are several other organizations, private entities, or even municipalities that need to build. The various types of organizations that experience growth include (but are not limited to) churches, farms, airports, and schools. Each of these can be built with steel. In fact, they can be built relatively quickly when compared to similar-sized wooden structures. Even though some might think that a steel building might be more complex than a wooden structure, erecting a steel building is usually a more streamlined process. In fact, a steel building can be “pre-engineered” so that it is practically “pre-built” at the manufacturer before it even reaches the worksite. How is it that a steel building system can be so efficient? The reason is because the parts are pre-punched and pre-welded at the manufacturing plant. As a result, they will be able to piece together in a step-by-step process. You save time in the construction process without compromising on safety or the quality of workmanship.

Research has shown that metal buildings are the best investment–or, more specifically, steel buildings. Yes, believe it or not, the most economical investment will be to construct your new building (or annex) with steel. Because of all the advantages of erecting a building with steel, you will be very pleased with the decision for many years to come. Therefore, if your business or organization is growing and ready to expand, take a minute to quickly read through some of the advantages of having your business in a steel building….. in tomorrows blog posting.

Growing Your Business (cont. from Sun.)

Yesterday, we spoke about keeping your business alive when it starts to thrive. Having too many customers can put a strain on your employees, keep customers waiting, and create a parking and traffic headache. Well, one of the smartest solutions is to re-locate your business to a new building in the area that best meets the market demand. Having a structure custom built for the look of your business has, of course, many advantages (such as attracting even more customers). Moreover, if you do plan to construct a new building for your company, then, needless to say, much careful thought will go into the quality of building into which you will invest your money.

Growing Your Business

How is your business doing these days? If you are like many companies in America then you are seeing remarkable periods of economic growth. But, if your business is doing well, are you prepared for this growth? It’s a nice problem to have. So, how will you deal with the increase demand on your business? Will you just increase your supply? Or, hire more employees? Will you extend your hours of operation? The choices you make at this juncture is critical to the survival of your business. Many companies have struggled because they are overloaded with demand and are unable to sufficiently provide adequate customer service. Don’t let your business die from over-success.

Methods of Wall Bracings (concluded from Friday)

Just as bracing supports the walls of a building, so General Steel supports our customers. We don’t just sell you a building and split. Call us at 1-800-745-2685 and ask us about our project managers.

Methods of Wall Bracings (continued from Thursday)

There are exceptions to the rule in proper wall bracing for both taller and some smaller structures. Tall buildings may not be able to use X-bracing. This is solved with a tiered rod brace. This involves the use of a girt into the bracing rod assembly for proper brace proportion and stability. Smaller steel buildings, like some auto shops, may have many doors and windows on one side of the building that allows for no side bracing. One popular solution is the use of only one braced sidewall, both end-walls, and the engineering of a rigid roof diaphragm to help with proper loading distribution to the supporting structure of the three side-braced walls of the building.
