Watch Out for Hucksters: (cont. from Sun.)

Lately we’ve been talking about the kind of company you would want to avoid. Summarizing what we’ve been saying, there are web-site only companies that you should be cautious of when shopping for a new steel building. Don’t be so trusting of every website you find on the internet. Be the savvy shopper. Some steel building companies cut-corners on building quality. For example, some advertise that they do not even need heavy-duty 26 gauge steel panels with their steel buildings (which is recommended and used by General Steel in all of our buildings). Their explanation is that they say such a grade of steel is not necessary (when in fact it is if you want a quality building made to last). What these so-called companies are trying not to tell you is that they are selling you a “really cheap” building by using a cheaper, thinner 29 gauge steel for the panels instead of the thicker, stronger 26 gauge steel type. Not a very reassuring thought to those developers living in high areas that receive heavy amounts of snow or high winds. Obviously, such a “cheap” company is not interested in providing your organization with a high-quality building that will last; nor is such an “internet” company very knowledgeable about the steel building industry. However, General Steel is very knowledgeable about the industry.
